I love organizing.
Really, I do. If I could go into every home and office in my community and help the people there to simplify their surroundings, I would. Since I can't go to everyone's place, I speak to groups.
My goal, when I speak to a group, is to make sure there is enough real, practical content in my presentation that every single person in the room leaves with at least one piece of advice that they can go home and put into action right away.
My presentations are based on the same principles as my organizing packages, the simple notion of tackling a space and a task at a time. I want to help people find their starting point. I am also happy to custom-tailor a presentation to your group's needs or the theme of your event. For custom presentations, please contact me.
What I Like to Talk About...
Start to Simplify
In this presentation I discuss how to assess your space and create an action plan that works with your budget and your lifestyle. Everyone has different organizational goals and the first step toward achieving them is identifying both the goal, and the obstacles. Then I'll talk about how to overcome some of the most common organizing roadblocks. This speech also includes a Q&A session, in case someone in the audience has an obstacle not covered in the presentation.
Destroy Dining Disorder!
One of my most popular presentations, DDD! is a discussion of kitchen chaos, both in the cabinets and the pantry. Nothing is more frustrating than staring into a loaded pantry or refrigerator and realizing you have, "nothing to make for dinner." We've all been there and it's not a happy place to be, is it?
I'll discuss techniques and tools to help your attendees save time in the kitchen and the grocery store.
Closet Chaos
We all want to get dressed, not stressed, right? Right! Clothes are so expensive these days that most people's closets are overflowing with things they can't bear to part with because it would be wasteful.
Holding on to things that don't fit is even more wasteful-no one uses them then. Closet pruning is not for the faint of heart, but with my easy to implement organizing and wardrobe tips everyone in your group will leave the room ready to make a change and take back their closets!
